Catching Everybody Up!

Hey All!!

So I have been reading a few blogs that some friends of mine post on here, and thought that I would give it a shot. So my first blog will catch everybody up on what is new in my life.

My Harrison just turned two, actually a week ago. He is so stinking funny. He is a chatter box. It is always intresting to see what is going to come out of his mouth. Sometimes I struggle with discipling him for some of the things he says, because my first reaction is to laugh. Usually that is what happens, I laugh and then getting on to him is funny to him. The other day I was reading and I realized I had not heard him in a while, so I went looking for him. I found him in my room sitting at my desk in my chair. He was "working" as he calls it on my laptop. As soon as I called his name, he spun around in the chair looked at me and before I could say anything, he said " No, Mommy leave me and my chair alone!". I just stood there. I did not really know what to say. So I distracted him with his monkey and it was all good. As the day went on I was just amazed at how bossy and adamant he was about leaving him alone. He is too funny. I took him yesterday for his well baby check and the pediatrician asked if he was makin two to three word sentences. I looked at him and told him to ask Harrison a question, so Harrison and Dr. Wehbah had a nice chat about pine trees outside. Needless to say no more questions about his vocabulary.

Me, well I am still working EMS- liking it still. Not loving it. It really really sucks being away for 24 hours at the time. Before Harrison the hours were great. Now it is not so grand. It sucks now, sometimes in the morning when Harrison sees me dressed for work, he will just plop down on the floor and tell me he is not going to school that he is staying with mommy today. That is when it really stinks, cause I know I will not be with him at five that afternoon, because I will still be at work. So that is a big reason why I am in school working on my RN degree. It will be a slow go, but I am determined. If all goes acccording to schedule, I will be done December 2009. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't seem to terribly long I don't guess. Between work, Harrison, and school I keep a pretty busy schedule. That is about all that is going on in my little world.

I am going to try and blog on a regualar basis. I have really enjoyed keeping up with friends through their blogs. It is fun. I hope you enjoy!
